Evie smile warped a little as the stress snapped her. She turned to adminius, glaring viciously. "Your 'mother' is no different adminius. If anything she was so much worse. She attacked and hurt you before we were able to stop her!" She took a step closer, grabbing her hammer. " when I stopped Alaric, he wanted to stop, and he didn't hurt either of us. Stop defending the woman who almost killed you and Ezra. I'm not one for disdain, but I do not like her. And she is holding my best friend with her flippping shadow tentacles. I am pregnant and irritated, and I swear, if she doesn't let him go, I'll make her. And Ezra isn't here to save you."

Adminius shook his head. He wanted to just... Let it all out. Everything. They were ignoring him. Treating him like he was the bad guy. He was trying to save his friend from that fate and end it all. Right here, right now. But Charlotte was threatening his mother's life, and nothing was going right. With a strain of his neck, he picked up Caladbolg and left without another word. Aeronwen just stared after him for a moment. She was less hesitant to let it go. The son of a bitch had ruined her life. But as things stood...
She let the shadows fade and followed her son.

Charlotte turned to Alaroc and slapped him, finally letting her rage boil over. "YOU DO NOT SAY THINGS LIKE THAT!" She began, a finger in Alaric's face. "Evie and I came all this way to bring you home. I don't care what you think you'll do, what you think you are, or what anybody else thinks of you! She," Charlotte oaused, pointing at Evie, "cares about you and youre not giving up." Charlotte turned to Evie, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Make sure he eats something." She said. "Shove it down your throat if you have to. I have one more person I've got to yell at." She added.
Charlotte stormed out of the room and down to the street. "Adminius!" She yelled. "You get back here right now!"

All of the conflicted emotions kept swirling around in his mind as he struggled to keep his cool. He wanted to strike her, hard, but he also wanted to let loose a river a tears.
