Charlotte did her best to support Alarics weight. She pressed on, doing her best to increase their pace. She couldn't help but remain silent as the two went back and forth, passing through the gate and trudging up the streets.
It must've been long after midnight before the inn came into view. She let out a sigh of relief as they passed through the doors of the inn and their room. "Alright, let's set him on my bed Evie.

When they faded, Adminius had appeared, his sword raised at Charlotte, and Aeronwen had Alaric wrapped up in shadows. "Don't even think about it, Charlotte. Honestly, to think that you of all people would be so daft so as to not notice this... It's quite laughable."

Adminius didn't so much as glance at her. "We can't do that. As soon as we heard that he'd somehow come back... It didn't take long to know what happened." He glared at Charlotte. "Honestly... You really couldn't see it? You really let yourself fall so far into denial?"

She looked back and forth between the two of them. "You don't say?" Her voice was dripping with sarcasm. "To think so little of my abilities. It's offensive. But...." She quickly drew her blade and pressed it to Aeronwen's back. ".... That changes nothing. Let him go. Now." Her voice became deathly serious.

Evie walked over to Alaric. "Hey are you okay. Ignore these buttheads. We know you're not bad." She smiled sweetly. "So what do you want to eat?"

Adminius placed his own blade at Charlotte's back. "Don't even try, Charlotte. Now you're threatening my mother, when you know full well what's happening. Just look at the signs, Gods dammit!"
Aeronwen shook her head. "I don't need to see anything to know. I know this presence... I know it's him."

Evie smiled at Alaric. "Will I have bread and cheese, an Apple, some dried beef and umm...."she saw Adminius put a blade to Charlotte. She kicked it out of his hands. "ADMINUIS HOW DARE YOU PULL A BLADE ON A FRIEND!?"She screamed at him. She looked back at Alaric, a sweet smile on her face. "Oh and grapes I bought earlier. I love grapes." She giggled.
