Ezra shook some slush out of his hair, sheepishly. "It's not like I meant to explode. Sorry."

He eyed the book in Charlotte's hands. "Is that thing important?"

Evie smiled at Charlotte kindly as she was helped up. "Hiya!"She grinned at shirahime.

Shirahime blinked and looked down from her perch on the stairs. When she saw Evie, her face instantly lit up and she floated down. She hurried over to Evie and studied her for a few moments before smiling widely. "Ah! So you're Evie!" She studied the girl once again, circling her a few times. Once she decided she was done, she settled in front of Evie. "Ohhh! You're even more adorable than I'd imagined! I really wish I could stay and chat, but I am only here for the repairs. If I dally, my sister won't be happy!" She moved to the hole in the wall and studied it for a moment. As she looked at the wall around it, she waved her finger in random patterns, and the wall began to slowly repair itself. Once she was finished, there was absolutely no way of telling that there had once been a hole melted into it. With that, she spun around to face everyone. "My business here is done! Until next time!" She spun and in an instant, she was gone.

[Tetra]

Evie blinked. "I'm cute?"

"Don't let it go to your head." Charlotte said, patting Evie on the back. "And yes Ezra. This is important."

Adminius scratched his head. He had a feeling that dealing with Shirahime was going to become a regular thing. Not that that was a particularly bad thing, as she was always so cheery when he and his friends were almost always stressed about some thing or another, but he knew it might cause some distress among certain members of the group. With a shake of the head, he turned to Charlotte and finally noticed the book in her hands. "So... If it's so important, what exactly is it? And don't just say book. What is the book?"

Charlotte let out a sigh. "It is, for the moment, just a book. I only found it this morning. I'm sure you noticed my absence." She flipped through the pages, caught in thought. "It's old enough to be dust, but as you can see, that's not he case. I'm having a bit of difficulty reading it too. The age definitey shows in that aspect." She slapped t shut. "Is that a satisfying answer?"

"Surprisingly enough, yes," Adminius retorted. "Well... I assume, then, that we've obtained what we came for. If so, we should start heading back. It's been just about two months and I don't want to stay away much longer."
"'Fraid you're gonna have to stay," said a familiar, distorted voice. Shadows swirled around at the top of the staircase and Adminius' mother appeared.

[Tetra]

Evie just blinked, staring a moment before throwing a sharp frozen shard with perfect percision at the shadows head.

Shadows flicked up and knocked the ice shard aside. "Nice try, sweetheart," the woman taunted, "but without pretty boy here to protect you four, I'm ending this once and for all."

[Nobody]

Ezra blinked, looking from Evie to the mysterious shadow woman. "Pretty boy's right here, actually." He pushed himself up from the frozen floor and smirked. "And you can try, but three Chosen against one... I don't know what you are, a shadow...monster...hag...? Anyways odds are, we win."

[Tetra]

Evie smiled and nodded. "Yeah plus the circus freak!" She sang out as if it was a proud title." You'll never win you..... thing!"

[LuciasFalkner]

Adminius glared at the woman. "Well. Guess it's time to put my mother to- HRRK!" A shadow wrapped itself around his neck and slammed him against a nearby rock. The shadows swirled around her more furiously as her crazed eyes bore into him.
"I AM NOT YOUR MOTHER!" She shouted, slamming him into it once more. "I don't have a son! I never did!

[sunter]

"Am I the only one not intent on antagonizing the insane shadow woman?" Charlotte said, drawing her lone dagger and taking a defensive stance. "Now, what can we help you with Ms..... sorry, didn't catch your name?"

A tendril shot out for Charlotte, aiming to bind the younger girl. "Name?" the woman asked in a disbelieving time. She scoffed and snickered. "Why would I need s name?"
