[Tetra]

Evie gritted her teeth as she was squeezed as well. "Owie...what was that?" She tried to look over towards Alaric, curious what was happening.

[LuciasFalkner]

They stopped right before they reached it, but the hood was blown off of the head, revealing a woman with long hair that matched the color of Adminius' though her eyes had the similar black sclera and yellow irises. She began to emanate a shadowy aura, the blackness undulating around her as she turned on Alaric, her blade raging with more shadows than before.
Adminius, however, just stared at the woman, something keeping him fixated on her.

[Nobody]

Alaric moved toward her. "Adminius! Draw your blade and fight, damn you! I will not suffer another plague on my home!" He thrust an arm out, a zigzag of lightning flaring towards the assailant.

She swept a wave of shadows in front of herself, and when it faded, she was gone. She faded into appearance in front of Alaric and shoved him aside before slowly approaching Adminius. Aoife's pin began to flow, but a tendril swept out and slammed her into a wall, knocking her out.
Adminius turned and started to yell out for her, but a tendril wrapped tightly around him, cutting him off. She pulled him closer and studied him. Adminius did the same, and the images that he'd seen in Azrael's domain flashed in his mind. He shook and tried to register what he was seeing. ".... It... It can't be..."

[Nobody]

Ezra stood and helped Evie do the same. The shadows had vanished when the woman targeted Adminius. "So should I nail her in the back or play it by ear?" He whispered to Evie.

[Tetra]

Evie giggled, observing the situation.
"Playing it by ear sounds like more fun"

The woman raised a confused eyebrow, but Adminius just continued to stammer. She grabbed his throat and clenched, grimacing. "Speak, boy," she demanded, her voice coming out a little distorted. Adminius coughed and gasped for air as he stammered out a single word:

"M-... Mom...?"

[Nobody]

Ezra's jaw dropped. "No way. This is unreal."

Alaric's sword arm drooped, dragging through the dirt. This wasn't possible. This magic, this woman. None of it.

[Tetra]

Evie didn't get it. "Whats going on? Are we not fighting anymore?"

[Nobody]

Ezra leaned close. "I don't know. I'm as confused as you are."

[Tetra]

Evie shrugged. "Sooooo what now?" She tilted her head to the side. "Family reunion? Invite it to dinner?"

There was a moment of silence as what was said registered with everyone, including the woman. The shock of what was said hit her, and her grip loosened enough for Adminius to wiggle out. He dropped to the ground and went into a coughing fit. However, a tendril picked him right back up and slammed him into a wall. The woman seemed to have entered a rage state, the aura growing. She pulled him back and glared into his eyes. "There's no way I'm you 'mother'." She growled.
Adminius ran through the images in his head again. There was no mistaking it. The woman before him was his mother. "Y-... You were a hero... You... Died..."

[Tetra]

Evie walked right over to the woman, tapping her on the shoulder.
"Um....do moms always hurt their children...?" She questioned innocently.

[LuciasFalkner]

A hand immediately shot out and clenched on her throat. She glared right into Evie's eyes, an overwhelming feeling of dread filling her with every second that she did. "I don't have children." She growled again.

[Nobody]

A small sparkling ball of light settled between the woman's eyes. After a moment it burst into light, blinding her. Ezra rushed in and grabbed Evie, dragging her away from the madwoman and her strange shadow magic.

Alaric stepped in and sliced up, biting through the shadow masses surrounding the woman. "I have steeled my will and made my peace," he said. "If you do not flee here now, I shall end you."
