She looked down at Ezra from the horse, hoping he could feel her glare. "Alaric we should go. I've got a lead on him. Ezra, stay on guard."

Aoife said nothing as she walked back in the direction of the council area, hoping to get back to the room they'd been provided so that she could rest and hopefully sleep the time away.

Reposted from canas:
''Not much reason to go with you, now is there?'' He gave the reins on their horses a toss, sending them both on their way.
He turned to the other two the moment they were out of sight. ''Who wants to find the nearest bar?''

"Where are we going, Lady Charlotte?" Alaric rode at an even pace just behind her.

Adminius jumped out of his carriage. He'd ridden all the way beyond the next city and stopped in a village on the outskirts of it. It was getting late, and he still had to practice his magic. He expected that Alaric at least would come after him, so he wished that he could go further, but ultimately, he had to stop.

A man stumbled out after him, holding onto the floppy blue tricorn hat barely seated on his head. "Oy, wait up! Don't go nowhere yet!" He managed not to faceplant into the snow. "I'm Sam. Sam Wembley."

"The Aongolan Mountains. He shouldn't be too far ahead of us, we might get lucky enough to catch him before he does something too stupid." She spurred her horse into a gallop, rushing past the guards out the gate.

Adminius jumped back to avoid being knocked into the snow. "... Adminius. Adminius O'Cain. Uh... Why'd you follow me off? Don't you have another destination?"

Adminius smiled. He'd always been fond of Bards and their recounting of tales. While he didn't see himself as anything special, he thought that he might enjoy the man's company. "Nothing so grand as a dragon. Just... Protecting the one I..." He stopped for a moment. "A childhood friend. I stopped for the night to train, to help make sure I'm strong enough."

"Anything I can do for ya?" He produced an unfolding sword from somewhere in his tattered blue cloak.

"I suppose I could use a sparring partner. I should warn you though..." He turned to a nearby tree and cut right through it. It toppled into another nearby tree.

"Of course," Adminius smirked. He hasn't practiced his actual swordplay in a while, so he was excited to do so. He took a stance that was clearly self-taught, or at least it certainly seemed so. He stood with his body facing the side, with his sword at his side and facing the enemy. His free hand was position at his chest, as if holding some other weapon.

Sam waved his sword around wildly before taking a step toward Adminius and thrusting.
