His eye opened up and rolled up to Evie. "It would be you, wouldn't it. Well I suppose the scary one is a downgrade from you. Hello again, Evie."

The guards stopped Ezra and Alaric, quickly surrounding them and raising their weapons to keep them at bay.

[Tetra]

Evie picked him up. "Why do you dislike me so much?"

[Nobody]

Alaric looked at them all, confused. "What seems to be the issue?" He extended an arm to stop Ezra from putting up a fight. Ezra glared at them, sullenly, but complied.

"It's not that I dislike you. Seeing the same thing over and over again just wears me down. I'm a talking encyclopedia, and I exist to obtain new knowledge. And yours seems to be the only face I see anymore. Not that it's not an attractive face according to your standards, mind." The Librarian attempted to wink.

"We have orders to detain Sir Alaric Tepes and take him into custody. He is to be hereby placed under constant watch for signs of further corruption."

[Tetra]

Evie giggled. "I'm sorry, but I'm taking you new places, that's gotta count for something." She made her way to her husband and best friend, seeing the commotion and running up. "Hey hey hey, what's going on!?"

[Nobody]

Alaric started to panic. No. Not imprisonment. Not again. He looked around them for some way to escape, eyes wild.

Ezra stood between the nearest of the men and Alaric. "Nuh uh man. Not happening. He just got back from wherever it is that he was, and I don't know if you can tell, but he's had a pretty rough time of things." A flaming sword burned into being in his hand, and he raised it to point at the man's face. "About as rough as me shoving this up your ass."

"Lower your sword, Ezra," Adminius' called from down the hall. The guards parted to let him step through the circle, and he moved closer to his friend. "Alaric is my best friend. I'm not going to put him in a jail cell."

[Tetra]

Evie ran up, hugging Alaric tightly. "Hey hey I'm here, we won't let them lock you up, I won't let them!!" Evie glared at the group. "Ezra kick their butt, I'm taking Alaric to our room." She looked up kindly at Alaric. "Come on buddy."

[Nobody]

"Not a jail cell, but you're gonna lock him up somewhere. That's not okay man." Ezra didn't lower his sword. "Is this how you're gonna rule?"

Alaric looked at Evie with wide, frightened eyes. "Evie, what is going on?"

[Tetra]

Evie touched alarics cheeks to keep his attention on her, keeping a very soothing voice. "Were going to my room, I want to show you the crib I'm making, it's really neat. Were going to relax and talk like the good old days." She soothed, using the adavntage of her beautiful voice to keep him calm.

"I'm not ruling anything in any way. I'm thinking about the safety of my friends and by extension, the rest of those in this castle. I cannot stress this enough. Alaric is my best friend. I wouldn't do anything to knowingly hurt him. However, I must also do my best to ensure said safety for my other friends."

[Nobody]

Alaric closed his eyes and tried to calm down. "Alright. I can do that." He turned to Adminius. "I have faith in you, Adminius. And you as well, Evie. I trust you."

Ezra narrowed his eyes but extinguished the sword. "I'm going with them. And I only trust you because wife trusts you."

[Tetra]

Evie smiled leading Alaric to get room, humming the song she calmed him down with earlier. "It'll be fun, maybe you can help Ezra and I think of a girl name too!" She sang happily as Ezra joined them.

"I cannot let you two be the ones to watch him. That would defeat the purpose. Please. Let us handle this."
