Adminius said nothing for a moment, and both looked rather uncomfortable at Alaric having pointed these things out. However, it was Aoife who spoke first.
"I understand, what you're saying, Alaric," she began, "but what if my parents are dead? We don't know how long we'll be away, and without anyone to lead them, there is no telling how the citizens will fare."

He stared off to the north, pensive. After a moment Alaric turned back to the two of them. "Yes, I see what you mean. There is only one truly logical option. I go east, to Arviragus with Aoife."
He turned to Ezra. "Adminius goes with you and the others."
He looked to Charlotte. "Setsugen. That is where you should find the answers we need." He narrowed his eyes at the thought. "I am loathe to send any to such a place. It is not meant for man to tread there any more, yet I can see no other options."

"Go with him, Adminius," Aoife ordered. Adminius turned to her, shocked by the order. He opened his mouth to protest, but she shook her head. "He's right. I don't want to rely on others, and you'll never reach your full potential by staying behind. I know Alaric. He's very capable, and he will make sure that I am alive and well when you return. I mean... He brought you back, didn't he?"

Adminius remained silent. Aoife pleaded for him to trust them, and eventually he let out a sigh. "... Very well, Alaric. I trust you. As much as I want ti be there..." He shook his head and moved Aoife over to her horse. After helping her up, he turned back to Alaric. "When we return, I expect things to be in tip-top shape!" He said this with a joking smile, pointing at Alaric.

Adminius mounted his horse and put Caladbolg in a holster on the saddle. He turned to Charlotte with a thoughtful expression. "If I'm not mistaken, Setsugen will be... A journey of about a month? Something like that, correct?" He looked back at Alaric. "Train her well. If anyone can do so, it's you."
