He bent down and pried a cobblestone up from the floor. He took a small rounded knife from his belt and carved Mezit into it. The rune glowed brightly once and faded. He tore a corner of the stone away and crushed it in his palm. When he let the dust that remained fall, it flowed through the air as if on a breeze towards the north east, settling into the shape of an arrow. "Then I'm going north. I'll be back, before too long, I hope. And I hope that I'm not too late."
